Hello! I'm Vishwanath Guruvayur, a Data Scientist who thrives in turning complex data and engineering challenges into scalable solutions leveraging my learnings and expertise of algorithms and data science!

I recently earned my MS in Data Science from the University of Virginia with top honors, focusing on multimodal Gen-AI research - teaching machines to understand text, images, and audio together for smarter comprehension of educational content.

My fascination with data began during my Mechanical Engineering studies at the #1 private engineering school in India - BITS Pilani, where robotics projects revealed how data could make machines think and act intelligently. That curiosity led me to pursue data science, first as a minor and then as a true passion!

At Piramal Pharma Ltd, a leading global healthcare firm, I advanced from intern to leading a new analytics team, tackling projects that ranged from Python automation and data engineering to high-impact applied ML and analytics initiatives across operations, finance, supply chain and sales.
The opportunity to work across such varied technologies and problems gave me firsthand experience of how translating the right algorithms into data-driven solutions can deliver both significant financial and human impact!

What Drives Me

I thrive on those aha! moments when data uncovers unexpected insights, translating complex algorithms into actionable stories for business leaders. Outside work, I love exploring mathematical patterns in music, learn my guitar, and build side projects blending music, gaming, and code.
